A murder of crows
Hill Fort and Settlement
After the snow I went into a snowless Edinburgh.
Because of an afternoon conference call for a client, I only had time for a short morning walk.

There was a convenient bench up in the hills for a tea break.
I had packed my titanium meths stove for this trip – my Alpkit gas stove o-ring seal has been giving me some problems. It was completely still, when I came to make some tea later in the evening, so I sat at the picnic table and brewed up.
And a “VR”.
I spent a showery afternoon, in the car, drinking tea and watching videos on my iPhone.

I am off to Scotland tomorrow, camping. As I am dropping Jeremy off at Herriot Watt University, on the way, I need some extra luggage room for the MX-5. So my tent, food, sleeping gear and a few other bits of gear are going into the 50l Boot Bag.
coffee at the Cambridge services looking at the rain
First long drive of the year, for the MX-5, down to watch Lincoln play Arsenal yesterday, with the hood down. But the unpredictable rain on the way home today meant the roof stayed up!
The MX-5 has been stored in a garage for the winter. Last weekend I checked the oil, tyres, battery etc and started it up in the garage. Today I took it to Sleaford for run, just to check everything is working, before going to Essex in it this weekend.
I am staying in Colchester tonight and working in London tomorrow. The weather was fine so it was a good excuse to get the MX-5 out.
Not such an interesting photo today – the back section of the exhaust has broken on the MX-5, this is the replacement abut to be fitted at Pitstop, Canwick Hill.
