All week we have been promising ourselves Clootie Dumplings at the Speyside Heather Centre – we went today but were surprised to find that most of it had burnt down. We thought that dumplings were off but then we noticed they are still running a small tearoom and have Clootie Dumplings on the menu. Not twenty-one varieties like we chose from last year, with cream or custard but still delicious.

Teapots from the Antiques Room still open at the Heather Centre – I did not want my “photo of the day” to be their mis-fortune.
