Hill Walking – to the Falls of Acharn

The forecast was for showers and once I was up high on the walk today I did get showers – heavy showers. I had taken a waterproof poncho with me which did an excellent job of both keeping the rain off me and my pack and by keeping the wind off me kept me warmer as well.

Once I reached the top of the falls the weather was closing in and the cloud was dropping so I abandoned my lunch plans, had cold water and some raw cashew nuts and headed back to Kenmore.

It stopped raining on the way down but the cloud stayed around the hilltops.

Meetings today @OctagonT @LincolnCity_FC @ImpsPremierPlus

Kamila and I had great meeting this morning with Pauline Mountain from the charity Hope. We used our regular meeting space – one of the boxes overlooking Lincoln City football ground – part of the benefits of belonging to Imps Premier Plus.

The club has a large selection of memorabilia in the stand – I particularly liked this picture of a cigarette card from the 1930s.

Lunchtime rain

I was in Horncastle this morning carrying out some work for a client who needed a job done in a hurry. Once I was finished I could not resist dropping into the nearby snack van, who make the best sausage in a bap. Lunch was in the car, in the rain at the community wood car park!

The publicity widget on my blog stopped working sometime after I posted Monday’s photo, so some feeds only got yesterday’s photo today.
