Camping – Leek
Diana and I got home last night, she has bookings for Monday but I still have a weeks leave left so this morning I set off camping. I am going to spend two nights here on the edge of the Peak District and then off to Wales.

We have stopped off in the Lake District for a coffee, on our way back from Scotland.
I have phoned the boys to remind them to tidy up, clean the kitchen and do the washing up before Diana and I get home!
I got out before 8am yesterday – walking whatever the weather.
looking back at Scandinavian Village
I headed out from Scandinavian Village across the Rothiemurchus Estate to Loch an Eilein. Looped around the Loch and came back in the Old Logging Trail.
The rain showers stopped after a couple of hours and let the midges come out – but that did not stop it being a good walking day.
The breeze picked up just enough in the afternoon so when I stopped for tea the midges were kept away.

There was only one way to describe the weather at the Cairn Gorm Mountain Centre – wintery. It was a good excuse for a hot chocolate in the cafe – and a chance for another person serving us, to tell us how nice the weather has been over the last few weeks. However I am getting some dramatic photos.
