Last night I watched Orbit on the BBC – in which they flew a set of digital cameras up to the edge of space using a helium balloon. A much better use of this technology, of course, is to fly a Lego space shuttle to the edge of space!
Jeremy thinks this is much more impressive.
I have walked various bits of the Viking Way – but I had not realised, as it passes through Lincoln, that it runs along a road I regularly use to get to work.
I have a free gpx file of the Viking Way footpath available here. The file can be used in a variety of GPS navigation devices and applications including Memory-Map on the iPhone.
Having just plugged my iPhone in to update the podcasts on it – there is a firmware update available for the phone. In the release notes it shows this:
So I wonder now if this will fix my occassional audio drop outs I have been experiencing? I hope so.

This filter is nearly the same as the one I use to produce high contrast mono images except, I do not include a greyscale step. It is very effective when used on sunset images – here I am using it on Lincoln City’s football field.
The image was taken using the latest version of Camera+ and post processed with Photogene2.
