IT Support today

With some of our team on annual leave today I had to cover the support:

find and fix a network issue and then add a wifi point

supply a new larger monitor

add some new users to our hosted exchange servers

and carry out our regular server and backup checks, but I did that from my iPad over breakfast!

I also met with a client to finalise a project to replace a Windows 2003 server.

Tracks in the snow

This morning I have been helping some clients with their IT support in Spilsby Lincolnshire. They needed to update their backup to an image based/automatic cloud backup and we can help with that. No more days of “no off site backup” because someone forgets to take the tape home with them.

However the one benefit this client really liked was that we would be checking that every day they had a good backup that could save their company if the worse happened.

On the way home I stopped off at Snipes Dales Country Park to eat my lunch and get a “photo of the day”.
