Walking today
I set out to go walking in the hills above Machynlleth but the weather turned.

Furnace is a village named after the industrial plant that is there – disused now but restored. The iron furnace was built in the village on the banks of the river in about 1755 – and processed ore bought there from Cumbria by ship.

There weather forecast was poor so I followed a path out of the village along the river for a short walk and lunch.

I used the gas stove today as the wind was so strong that the alcohol stove could not deliver enough heat the boil water for Indian spiced Tea.
I have Teams meetings this afternoon so I could not go far today. The weather was good so I headed for the beach.

I was happy to be on third floor – the view is great.

The weather was not forecast to be great today, overcast, mist and drizzle – so the plan was to head into Snowdonia National Park and see what I came across.

There is a similar Bell at Morecambe.

I have attached a length of cord to the canteen lid as it secures with only an 1/8 of a turn and I did not want it to come loose and then be lost.

The rain got a lot harder after this so lunch was in the car.
I walked a short distance on the Wales Coastal Path today – just far enough to find somewhere scenic to make lunch.

Rather than just go to the timeshare I went for a walk on the beach near Aberdovey.
