My first appointment today was with a client who has an office very near to RAF Scampton. As I was driving there I could see the Red Arrows flying over Lincoln Cathedral and hoped to get out there before they finished their practice session.
I parked near the office I was going to and was just in time to get The Red Arrows’ final fly pass for “photo of the day”. They then flew in, individually, over my head and landed.
It was another nice day – no fog and a good sunrise.
After stopping off in St Austell for bacon butties and tea we went into Mevagissey.
On the way back to the campsite we detoured to The Tearoom at Tresillian Garden Centre for a Cornish cream tea (again, we did not miss last year either).

As it was an exceptional day for the last day of October, Jeremy and I walked down to the coast from the campsite – a walk we had been promising to do if the weather improved.
We got down near the sea at Nare Head where we found some flat rocks that made a great place to stop for lunch.
We got my compass/thermometer out to check the temperature at lunch time.
