I got a train into Inverness today, for some present shopping and geocaching.
One of the geocaches led me to a landmark I’d not seen before – The General’s Well – even though we regularly walk this footpath.

We moved on from the timeshare in Aviemore this morning to camping in Dingwall, via Inverness

We were looking for Pokemon and Geocaches and both of these took us to some out if the way places in the city we had not seen before.
This pillar are the remaining ruins of a Dominican Friary that was founded by Alexander II in 1233.

The boys are using the Birds Head tent, I have my MSR Hubba.
Set up and we have already had a cup of tea. The weather yesterday was not great, it rained overnight and was foggy this morning – now it is great again, in the low twenties.

Ed’s American Cafe, in Inverness, nice decor, good staff, well cooked food, but poor value for money. Jeremy was particularly disappointed with his £7.25 hot dog! Not going there again.
We went into Inverness today where we walked along the river through Ness Islands. One of our favourite places.
